These paintings are constructed by using found AI-generated "slop" images that are printed and transferred onto canvas. This process creates painterly marks, moments of erasure and color palettes to depict landscape scenes derived from my personal memories and tangible experiences, such as encountering native flowers during walks in my neighborhood. The titles of the works are derived from the Greek origins of the flora's name that often reference mythological creatures.
While the compositions may initially resemble traditional painting from a distance, closer inspection reveals surreal elements like futuristic architecture, eight-eyed parrots, and techno-creatures. By integrating this digital content, the work draws parallels between the uncanniness of artificial imagery and physical environments or experiences.
